Violin lessons
Besides our work connecting classical musicians with rappers and singers on stages around the world, we also teach violin. Together we offer lessons for the next generation: whether you want to play classical music at the highest level or bring the violin into today’s popular music.
Learn Violin with Us
We’re two sisters who grew up with the violin at the center of our lives. We had the same upbringing and the same teachers, but over the years our paths went in two different directions. One of us plays on big stages with artists like Burna Boy, Jeremih and The Game, bringing the violin into popular music and showing how far it can go outside the classical world (as you can explore further on this website). The other is a first violinist and plays in orchestras such as the Dutch Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Dutch Radio Philharmonic, and was concertmaster of the National Youth Orchestra of the Netherlands. Together, we have the best of both worlds, and now we’d love to share that with the next generation!
Our teaching comes from a very special tradition. We studied with Igor and Vesna Gruppman, who were direct students of the great violinists Jascha Heifetz and David Oistrakh (among others). They lived and studied in Moscow surrounded by some of the most legendary musicians of the 20th century. This rich tradition has been passed down to us, and we’re excited to pass it down to our students.
Whether you dream of playing in an orchestra, learning to play your favorite songs, auditioning for a conservatory or standing on stage with a band one day, we can help you build the foundation and the confidence to get there. Our lessons are rooted in strong technique but always leave room for creativity and self-expression.

Lessons
Lessons are being taught on Wednesdays in the Patrimonium neighbourhood in Amstelveen, more information on request.
Individual lessons - 45 min
We offer packages of 10 lessons for €650.
It's possible to buy a single try out lesson.
For 21+ students, 21% tax will be added.
Lessons will be taught following the Russian violin school.
Duo lessons - 60 min

Packages of 10 lessons are available for €500 per student. You can also book a single trial lesson before committing.

Renting a violin
If you need to rent a violin, we highly recommend visiting Jeroen Elswijk in Haarlem. We’ve been going to him since we were around 7/8 years old and have always loved the experience. We were so happy with our rental instruments that, when we were around 16/17, we asked Jeroen to build violins for us. He also recently built Celeste's viola, which she absolutely loves.
For a very short while, Celeste even worked there as an apprentice. A wonderful experience that gave her an even deeper appreciation for his craft. You can also visit him for maintenance, new strings, and all kinds of instrument care. Jeroen is in high demand and has many clients from the local music school to the Concertgebouw Orchestra, so we recommend contacting him early to ensure an instrument is available. His craftsmanship and care are worth the trip.
